Mini PC maker Beelink has unveiled its new Mate mini dock designed specifically for Apple’s Mac Mini.
The compact accessory connects through Thunderbolt 5 and dramatically expands storage capacity up to 16 TB. The Beelink Mate mini costs CNY 985 in China, which translates to approximately $137.
Key Features and Connectivity
The Mate mini dock transforms the Mac mini into a more versatile workstation. The device connects seamlessly through a Thunderbolt 5 port and provides dual M.2 SSD slots for storage expansion.
This affordable solution addresses one of the biggest limitations of Apple’s Mac mini – limited internal storage options. Users can now add up to 16 TB of additional storage without opening their device or voiding warranties.
Availability
The Beelink Mate Mini represents a significant value proposition for Mac Mini users. At $137, it costs significantly less than Apple’s official storage upgrades, which cost hundreds of dollars for similar capacity increases.
The dock launched initially in China with no confirmed global release date yet. Beelink typically expands its successful products to international markets based on demand.
This launch comes as Beelink expands its ecosystem of mini PC accessories and docking solutions for various devices.
