Casio has launched the G-Shock MTG-B2000YBD-2A in Japan, expanding its premium MT-G line with a focus on strength and style.
The new watch stands out with its carbon bezel frame, which makes it lighter and tougher than earlier models using stainless steel. This design not only reduces weight but also gives the watch a modern, high-tech look.
The MTG-B2000YBD-2A sports a blue-grey ion-plated bezel and buttons, paired with a black ion-plated band. The band itself is a composite of stainless steel and a thin blue resin inner layer, adding both comfort and style.
The watch face features subtle blue accents, and the hands are coated with Neobrite luminous paint for easy reading in the dark.
Inside, the watch uses a carbon fibre-reinforced monocoque case and Casio’s Dual Core Guard structure, offering protection from shocks, centrifugal force, and vibration. The sapphire glass with anti-reflective coating and screw-lock crown adds further durability.
Feature-wise, the MTG-B2000YBD-2A includes Bluetooth connectivity, Multi Band 6 radio-controlled timekeeping, Tough Solar charging, dual time zones, a stopwatch, countdown timer, daily alarm, LED backlight, and water resistance up to 200 meters. Users can also adjust settings via the Casio Watches smartphone app.
Weighing just 131 grams, lighter than previous models, MTG-B2000YBD-2A is priced at 181,500 yen (about ₹1,25,000) in Japan, with global availability yet to be announced. The watch is perfect for those seeking a blend of luxury, technology, and ruggedness in their timepiece.
