Lenovo has officially announced the Legion Tab Gen 4, its latest gaming tablet, set to launch in May 2025 with a host of significant upgrades.

The new device features a high-resolution 3K LCD display with a 165Hz refresh rate, improving upon the previous generation’s 2560×1600 panel and promising smoother visuals for gaming enthusiasts.

The Legion Tab Gen 4 retains its compact 8.8-inch form factor, making it a standout option for portable Android gaming.

The tablet is powered by Qualcomm’s new Snapdragon 8 Elite processor, though Lenovo has not yet specified whether it will use the seven-core or eight-core variant. This upgrade, paired with up to 16GB of RAM and 512GB of storage, positions the Legion Tab Gen 4 firmly in the upper tier of gaming tablets. The device also features a substantial battery boost to 7,600mAh, up from 6,550mAh in the previous model, and supports 68W fast charging for extended, uninterrupted play.

Lenovo has focused on thermal management, equipping the tablet with a 12,000mm² copper vapour chamber cooling system to maintain performance during intense gaming sessions. The tablet’s lightweight design, at approximately 340 grams, and a thinner profile further enhance its portability.
