MG Motor India has officially opened bookings for the new Windsor EV Pro, the top-end variant of its popular electric car lineup. The new model promises a longer drive on a single charge and comes packed with advanced features.
Hindustan Times Auto reports the Windsor Pro is available at an introductory price of Rs. 12.49 lakh (ex-showroom, with battery-as-a-service) or Rs. 17.49 lakh (with battery included) for the first 8,000 customers.
Longer Range, More Features
The Windsor EV Pro stands out with its new 52.9 kWh battery, offering a claimed range of 449 km-a significant jump from the standard model’s 332 km.
The car is powered by a 134 bhp (136 hp) electric motor delivering 200 Nm of torque, ensuring smooth city and highway drives.
Key new features include:
- Level 2 ADAS (Advanced Driver Assistance Systems)
- Vehicle-to-Load (V2L) and Vehicle-to-Vehicle (V2V) charging
- 15.6-inch touchscreen infotainment, panoramic sunroof, wireless charging
- Six airbags, 360-degree camera, and a powered tailgate
The Pro variant also gets a fresh look with new alloy wheels, three new colours (Celadon Blue, Glaze Red, Aurora Silver), and a stylish two-tone ivory and black interior.
Booking Details and Offers
Bookings are open online and at MG dealerships across India. Early buyers benefit from a lifetime battery warranty (for the first owner) and a 3-60 assured buyback plan-guaranteeing 60% of the car’s value after three years.
The battery rental option (BaaS) lets customers buy the car at a lower upfront price and pay Rs. 4.5 per km for battery usage.
