NIU has launched two new electric scooters in Europe – the KQi 200P and KQi 200F. These models bring advanced suspension technology and long-range capabilities to the European market. The scooters were already available in the US market before this European launch.
The main difference between the two models lies in their handlebars. The KQi 200P features a fixed handlebar measuring 21.3 inches across, while the KQi 200F comes with a folding handlebar measuring 23.9 inches across.
Powerful Motor and Battery Performance
Both models use a 350W motor with 22 Nm torque and 700W peak power. The scooters can reach a maximum speed of 25 kph in most European countries and handle inclines up to 20%. The 365 Wh battery provides an impressive 54 km range on a single charge.
The e-scooters offer four different riding modes to suit various preferences. NIU has included a charging limit feature to help extend battery life over time.
Advanced Suspension and Safety Features
NIU has equipped both models with front dual-tube spring suspension and 254 x 58 mm tubeless pneumatic tires for better shock absorption. This combination provides a smoother ride over uneven surfaces.
The safety system includes a dual braking setup with a front drum brake and rear regenerative brake. NIU claims these brakes can stop the scooter in under 4.3 meters. Standard accessories include headlights, brake lights, and turn signals.
Smart Connectivity and European Pricing
The scooters connect to the NIU smart app via Bluetooth. Users can remotely lock their scooter, adjust speed and acceleration settings, and set battery charging limits through the app.
The NIU KQi 200P retails for €499 while the KQi 200F costs €549 in Europe. Customers who pre-order receive a €50 discount, with the official release scheduled for June 15th.
