Samsung has launched the Odyssey OLED G6, the world’s first 500Hz OLED gaming monitor, setting a new benchmark for serious gamers.

The monitor features a 27-inch QHD (2560×1440) QD-OLED panel, delivering ultra-smooth visuals and lightning-fast performance for competitive play.

According to Samsung, the Odyssey OLED G6 will first be available in Singapore, Thailand, Vietnam, and Malaysia, with a global rollout later this year. The price is expected to be around ₹1,27,112 (about $1,488), reported by Indian Express.

The Odyssey OLED G6 stands out with its 500Hz refresh rate and a 0.03ms response time, ensuring every frame is crisp and gameplay is highly responsive. The QD-OLED technology provides vibrant colors, deep blacks, and a peak brightness of 1,000 nits. The monitor supports both NVIDIA G-SYNC and AMD FreeSync Premium Pro for tear-free gaming.

Samsung has also addressed common OLED concerns by adding OLED Safeguard+ technology. This includes a dynamic cooling system with a pulsating heat pipe, which is five times more effective than standard cooling. It also includes auto-dimming for static images to prevent burn-in.

The monitor’s design features a sleek metal frame, customizable Core Lighting+ on the back, and a fully adjustable stand for height, tilt, and swivel. Connectivity options include DisplayPort 1.4, two HDMI ports, a headphone jack, and USB-A.

Compared to previous models and rivals, the Odyssey OLED G6’s 500Hz refresh rate is a major leap, as most high-end gaming monitors top out at 360Hz. This makes it especially attractive for esports and fast-paced games, where every millisecond counts.
