TCL has launched its QM8K series QD-Mini LED TVs in the United States, marking a significant upgrade over the award-winning QM851G from 2024.
The new flagship lineup introduces groundbreaking display technology and premium features designed for large-screen entertainment enthusiasts. The QM8K represents the company’s most advanced television technology to date.
Revolutionary Panel Technology
The QM8K series debuts TCL’s innovative CrystGlow WHVA Panel with ZeroBorder design, featuring an ultra-slim 3-4mm bezel that creates an edge-to-edge viewing experience. This anti-reflective panel delivers a 40% wider color viewing angle than its predecessor, virtually eliminating color shift from any seating position.
The revolutionary WHVA panel technology significantly improves viewing angles through an advanced subpixel structure, addressing a common limitation of traditional VA LCD panels.
Enhanced HDR Performance with Halo Control System
TCL’s new Halo Control System powers the QM8K’s superior picture quality through several key innovations. The system provides up to 35% more dimming zones and up to 65% higher peak brightness than previous models, reaching HDR5000 peak brightness levels.
The 98-inch model features over 3,000 dimming zones for precise local dimming control, while the enhanced system delivers virtually no blooming or halo effects around bright objects.
Gaming Excellence and Premium Audio
Gamers benefit from the Game Accelerator 288 feature, enabling 288Hz variable refresh rate at 1080p resolution, along with 144Hz native refresh rate for 4K content. The TVs support FreeSync Premium Pro and feature zero-delay response for competitive gaming.
Audio quality receives premium treatment through Audio by Bang & Olufsen integration, featuring up-firing drivers for Dolby Atmos and DTS Virtual:X sound.
The QM8K series is available in four sizes: 65-inch ($2,299), 75-inch ($2,999), 85-inch ($3,799), and 98-inch ($6,499). The 65-inch and 85-inch models are available immediately, while the 75-inch and 98-inch variants arrive next month.
