Leading imaging giant DJI has rolled out a major feature-packed firmware update for its flagship gimbal cameras, the Osmo Pocket 4 and Osmo Pocket 4P.
The update introduces direct camera-to-cloud uploads, expanded 10-bit D-Log M color profiles for high-speed slow-motion capture, and refined AI frame tracking controls tailored for mobile creators and solo cinematographers.
Direct Cloud Sync and Wireless Network Storage
The headline addition in the new firmware is the Camera Cloud Service integration, allowing the Osmo Pocket 4 series to automatically sync captured media over Wi-Fi directly to cloud platforms.
Creators can now route full-resolution video files straight to Google Drive, Microsoft OneDrive, and local Network Attached Storage (NAS) servers without needing intermediate smartphone transfers or physical SD card readers.
10-Bit D-Log Color Grading in Slow Motion
For professional video editors, the update unlocks 10-bit D-Log color recording during slow-motion shooting modes on the Osmo Pocket 4P.
Previously restricted to standard frame rates, filmmakers can now record high-frame-rate slow-motion sequences (up to 4K at 240fps on the primary lens) while preserving maximum dynamic range and color grading headroom using official DJI 2.0 LUT profiles.
Refined ActiveTrack 7.0 and Hardware Controls
The firmware further enhances DJI’s ActiveTrack 7.0 machine-learning vision system, providing smoother framing when subjects rapidly enter or exit complex backgrounds.
Additional quality-of-life improvements include customizable long-press joystick shortcuts for quick gimbal locking, expanded wireless compatibility with the DJI Mic Mini 2, and improved Direct Transfer protocols for instant file handoffs to mobile devices.
Availability and Installation
The new firmware update is available for free download globally through the latest version of the DJI Mimo companion app on iOS and Android.
